Randomness

A few random things to share with you guys!

I'm movin' on up in the world, y'all!!!
I'm crazy excited about my new, luxurious, and oh so spacious spot at Class and Trash
I moved down the way just a little, still on the second floor.

A few pics of my new spot.

And I'm  loving this chandy that's above my new space there.
It's so pretty, wish I could say I was selling it but I think it's left over from the last person who sold there.

Class and Trash $45

More randomness...

I'm actually working on a desk project that I hope to finish and reveal this week.
I had to seriously dust the cobwebs off the paint supplies, it's been so long!
But I'm excited to see how this one turns out!

Oh!  And...
I hit up a bunch of thrift stores with my girl Lindsay on Saturday...mostly Lakeside Ave shops.
Love this Bamboo-ish bar cart!
A quick paint job and it could go from drab to fab!

McAdoo's (lakeside ave) $68

So those are my random facts for the day!
Hope everyone is surviving this Monday!

Ceramic Adorableness

Just picked up one of these pretty little fellows from the dollar bin area at Target.
 Ummmmm, $2.50.  No joke.

Of course I googled it to see if anyone else had found these lovlies and there was the perfect little picture from uncommondesignsonline so being the lazy blogger that I am, I just copied instead of uploading my own!

Anyone else seen these at TarJay?  They have black and brown but I'm partial to the white.

They make great little vases or perfect for make-up brushes.
Because I have a hoarding problem I picked up three.

Miracles Do Happen

A little miracle happened today at our house.  I'm not sure what came over me, maybe the 100 degree weather we are having pushed me over the edge...not sure.  But today I parked my car in the GARAGE!!!  It wasn't easy and I had to bring some things up to the attic (which is a big ole hot mess) and do some major puzzle piecing of the items remaining in the garage but...IT'S IN!!!

It has been so long since I've parked in the garage because of all my endless projects going on, this was my THREE YEAR OLD daughters response to my elation about squeezing it in there....

"Your dads gonna be mad at you!"

She literally thinks my husband is going to be mad because I put a car in the garage!!!

Little does she know I just made his dreams come true!

The whole neighborhood is going to think I've left my husband since my car wont be parked in the driveway anymore.  OMG!  Imagine the rumors that will start flying!  This could be fun!

Doesn't it look amazing...

Oh, wait, that's not my garage!  Mine still looks something like this...

But it's in people!!!  And I'm happy!!!

Look for Less- Herringbone Throw

I love a good throw blanket and am loving the herringbone design lately.  I found a great look for less if you are feeling this look as much as I am but don't want to sacrifice your children's college fund to get it!

Porcelain and Ivory Herringbone Throw | World Market
Porcelain Herringbone Throw
$29.99

Here's a close-up of the herringbone detail.

And here is the look for much more from the fabulous Serena and Lily...
$250

Isn't the herringbone throw just the perfect addition to a neutral couch!  Love it...just not for $250!

I'll take the World Market version any day, even if the herringbone detail isn't quite as distinct!

And that's your look for less, ladies and gents!

Some Sweaty Class Finds

Funny Seasonal Ecard: My favorite thing about summer is having a valid excuse for my excessive sweating.

Lord, if that wasn't true today.  At 105 degrees, my trip to Class and Trash was a sweat fest!  I was dripping in sweat, and ladies, it wasn't cute!  I fully expected to pull up and see it closed because they don't have AC and it is crazy hot, but Lisa and Kenny are troopers and fight right through it for their customers!  Love them!

In between wiping the sweat out of my eyes I spotted some really great stuff!

This buffet was a STEAL at $88.

Class and Trash (second floor) $88

Love this primitive Desk.  So much character!  Great for extra seating in a family room and what a great convo piece!  Love!

This might be a paint me project but I loved the lion head pulls.

Ooops!  Forgot to get the price but my best guess is....dirt cheap!

Love this sewing table base with the distressed wood top.

Class and Trash $98

And the piece de resistance...

How amazing would this look on some hairpin legs and used as a table.  I mean, I die!

 Really, I do.

Those drawers, you can't recreate that kind of chippy goodness if you tried!

Class and Trash $40

Loved this chandy too, a real beaut.
My mind was so blown from the above drawers that I forgot to ask how much.

And I'm sure there were so many more cool finds but
I was sweating from places I didn't even know I had sweat glands
and I was lookin' a hot mess!

Not as hot as this dude but a close second!

(and the pink bleep is for my mother...who still gets mad when I swear)

If you like the Class stuff (and how could you not!) Call them or visit them!

I'm Baaaaaack!

Hey everyone!  Long time no see!

We just got back from visiting my parents in Connecticut and I have to quickly share my mom's latest redo with you.  She found these tables at Goodwill for $4.99 each...

They are Ethan Allen but the tops were seriously beat up so she took her hand sander to them and found a gorgeous wood grain underneath...

The left is after sanding and the right after applying a walnut stain and spray painting the bases white.

I just love the pattern on the wood.  Too pretty to paint!

Alright, I'm off to do a massive amount of laundry and try to get back into the swing of things!  I haven't really parented in over 10 days as my kids played with their cousins and ignored me most of the trip as I sat around sipping on Skinny Girls and the Vino by the Long Island Sound.  Tough life ;)  Reality has just smacked me in the face as my children are fighting like cats and dogs and its a bazillion degrees here in Richmond!
