I've been toying with the idea of turning an old fireplace mantel into a headboard for our master bedroom. I found this at one of my favorite places (Through the Garden Gate Antiques) this weekend for only $50!!! It just needs some simple cleaning and a new coat of paint. I just got my garage back in order and can park my car inside again...I'm sure my husband will be thrilled with this new project!
Here's some inspiration pics!
I love the idea of layering frames on the mantel...love the large letters on the last inspiration pic. I've seen those at Homegoods and been trying to find a place to put them! We'll see! Maybe I'll offer for Alex to go play golf this weekend then he will be more inclined to help me get this hunk of a thing home ;)
Great inspiration photos. Can't wait to see your after picture.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting extra jealous that I didn't take advantage of all the awesome thrift stores when I lived in RVA.. not that I don't already have enough dressers to refinish still, but that's beside the point.
ReplyDeleteCome visit www.thisthoughtprocess.blogspot.com, I'll be having some thrifty finds renovations soon too!
Thanks for stopping by Mrs. M! New visitors make my day!
ReplyDeleteErin, I totally agree...I have way to many projects but can't resist a new one! I will be visiting your blog for sure! Thanks for the support!
