Midlothian Turnpike...Thank goodness I don't live closer to you!

I headed south today to the Midlothian Turnpike and all I can say is WOW and I'M POOPED!  There are more thrift shops there than you can even count!  I had six on my list and I think I made it to 4!

I started out at The Love of Jesus Thrift, a fairly well known thrift store here in Richmond.  You know how sometimes you walk into a store and you can hear the angels singing you are so happy to be there and they have such great stuff...well this actually happened for real today!  Ha!  I was greeted by a children's choir singing, which struck me as kind of odd but I got used to it!  I'm pretty sure I was humming along by the time I left. Here is what I found.

Cue the angel music/children's choir!  How AMAZING would this be in a craft room or mom den!!!  I fell madly in love!  I think its from an old mailroom.  So much character.  And the price was a crazy $50!!!!  If only I had somewhere to put it I would have snatched it up in a second.  Note to self:  Make your kids share a room and get yourself a mom den.

I also found this that I came really close to bringing home myself.

I think this would be really easy to reupholster.  Here is some inspiration.  I love the idea of painting the wood a color.

And doesn't the pink one remind you of a certain color of the year...

Both Items from The Love of Jesus Thrift- 230-4144
Both items price : $50

  3. Michelle- Isn't it so great! I just wish I had room for it! I was thinking this morning if it fit wine bottles what fun wine storage it would be!
