My sister's campaign dresser makeover!

I really wish the title of this was MY campaign dresser makeover...but alas mine still sits unfinished in the garage babysitting the spot where my car should be parked!  This heat is a serious motivator to get my crap projects finished and out of the garage!

So here is her before.  Remember she found a Goodwill Campaign dresser the same day I found one at my goodwill.  Here's the story for the new readers!

Before:

And here is her AFTER!!!

Didn't she do SUCH a fabulous job!!  I am so in love with it!  The color is perfect!  Not too bold but definitely not your standard white or black.  I'm so proud!  Can't wait to see what she does with her card catalog.

My mom helped her with the painting and bought a new toy to help them get it done quickly.
This is what she used.  Can you believe how affordable it is.
Home Depot $68
Wagner Control Spray Double Duty

They raved about it!!! My sister is coming to visit in a couple days and bringing it with her!!! Happy day to me!! Can't wait to try it out.  Maybe she will paint my dresser for me  show me how to use it ;)

Linking up my sisters gorg dresser to these wonderful blogs (is that even allowed I don't know, but I want to show it off!!!)

  3. What a lovely makeover - I wish we had campaign dressers in Australia! I have that exact spray gun as well. I bought it a few months ago to finish the headboard for this project http://mydesignethos.blogspot.com/2011/05/beachy-display-home.html (actually it's a very similar colour too!).

I really loved it but I did find that on the first two coats the spray wasn't as even a finish as normal spraypaint would be, although you can't tell after the third coat! I just love the fact you can use them for every colour and aren't limited by the spraycan colours, and can use low VOC paint as well.

  4. oooo I want that tool! I LOVE the color your sister chose...unexpected and refreshing! I just linked up (thanks to you!) at Prim and Proper with my chair re-do and ended up right next to you...I think our projects(or rather your sisters!) look good together in their shades of blue!

  16. Love it! I found a campaign dresser at a consignment shop, but it was still too pricy. Would love to find one at a thrift store. The color is perfect. Oh, and I have the same paint sprayer. I've only done one project so far, but I'm really happy with the sprayer.

  20. Well geez, I wish I'd seen this last week when I was agonizing over what color to paint my campaign dresser! I ended up going a very similar shade of robin's egg blue and I love it! Just posted about it today. I love that your sister's has that smaller drawer in the middle!
