My sister and I were at Through the Garden Gate Antiques the other day picking up her fabulous new secretary when we spotted this. It reminded her of something she just bought from Restoration Hardware.
Through the Garden Gate $45
Through the Garden Gate $45
Here is a very similar version from Restoration Hardware (the one my sister bought and has been waiting weeks to arrive)
Restoration Hardware $145-$225
Restoration Hardware $145-$225
I can't believe the price difference. Also can't believe that someone I share the same genetics with would be willing to fork over this kind of money for a piece of distressed wood.
I also spotted this plant stand that looked very familiar. I had just seen a similar one in the Pottery Barn Catalog. Here's Through the Garden Gates:
Through the Garden Gate $58
Through the Garden Gate $58
Here is Pottery Barn's CRAZY expensive version:
Pottery Barn $229
Seriously, who would pay $229 for that? My sister probably owns one!
I'm linking up to these parties today!
Just for the record ;) I would never pay that much for rod iron... distressed wood on the other hand... yes! :)
ReplyDeleteActually I am thinking about sending you back to TTGG to get that one and cancelling my restoration order since i ordered it in JAN and its still not here! :)
Er I NEED that shelf! As the poorest sister of the bunch, can you pretty please go pick that up, it will be a great addition to my little studio :)
ReplyDeleteMeg- I know...isnt it cute! You really want me to get it?
ReplyDeleteIs it the same one Kel has in her downstairs bathroom? If so, I LOVE and yes want you to get it :) I promise to send you a check.
ReplyDeleteIt's not the exact same as in my bathroom - but pretty close... I'd get it for 45 bones...
